Great question! Yes, dry mouth can cause some looseness of teeth. Do drink about 8 cups of water a day. The biotene is helpful. ACT mouth rinse is also good. I don't have dentures, but do get dry mouth. I just try to always have a bottle of water with me wherever I go.

I haven't noticed dry mouth but must admit I haven't drank as much water through winter but drink plenty in summer,I drink more tea and coffee in winter,,dentist has given me a mouth guard said it could be because of grinding my teeth so been wearing it at night for few weeks and no difference

I have had a dry mouth for many years due to my meds. I have had a loose tooth for over a year now. However, I do have osteoporosis due to steroid use for another condition. Meds for osteo, Alendronic Acid, can also cause problems in the mouth and the jaw. It can cause bone loss and deformity.
