Has Anyone Been Given Meds To Treat The Fatigue?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was prescribed adderal for the fatigue of CFS/fibro and it allows me to be productive and even work. its hard though because it does make me jumpy and oftentimes anxious.
has anyone been on aderall or other drugs like provigil for fatigue?
I also take a lot supplements but its not enough

a few years ago, i tried a combination of gensing & ginko, because i didn't want to ingest so many unknown synthetic ingredients. it helps quite a bit, i work from home as an alterationist & have a pretty nice client base. i can definitely tell when i've forgotten it. i don't take max milligrams, just enough to keep me functional. When i get flares, it can keep me from "drowning" but i'm not very brainy...

I use provigil when needed but not daily as it gives me bad headaches when it is wearing off but found if I take two excidren with it it doesn't happen. Does help alot with the mental alertness and being tired. If i had my grandson for the day or lots of errands to run I wound take one.

trial and error is right. what works for some dont work for others. i use adderal and phenterermine thats the only thing that helps my fatigue. ive tried so much junk from foods to drugs and nothing helps the pain like a hot tub whirlpool. for me anyway

I have a facetime appt with my psych who tries to help me out i'm going to ask him about provigil, I hear it's milder than adderal which makes me anxious

Yes armodafanil it worked to keep me on the road without falling asleep but after 6 years not so much you build tolerance to it supposedly the only other choice is a stimulant which has to come from psych
