Ive been seeing a pain management dr for 7 years. My primary had to stop prescribing my pain meds so i had to go to a pm dr. She is very understanding and believes how much pain im in unlike some doctors. You may have to try a few doctors before you find one that will help you. Good luck.

I’ve been to pain management classes, two different ones in completely different cities and what a waste of time. I’m assuming a pain management doctor would be better but I have read here now, some of them aren’t the best either! I’m so lucky I have the best GP and I can say anything to him and he always tries to help me. I have to admit, I LOVED going to my psychologist when it was covered! I could get everything off my chest which of course in turn relieved my stress which relieved pain!! Good luck with your visit!

I saw a pain management doctor for the first time this week. She was lovely. Talked about medication and changing the way i thought about pain. She said she couldnt get rid of pain but would help me to make it livable.

Went a week ago for the first time. I was not impressed. Drs bedside manner was horrible. I'm going to try back injection to see if it helps my pain.
