Not sure who i would see doctor or denist
do warm compresses work? there is a device that can help realign your jaw at night, and i think that would be dentist. it seems to be common with fibro, jaw pain and malalignment
also had this issue, unfortunately it can often be misdiagnosed as TMJ ( but seems to be a fibro symptom) Having cracked several teeth,My dentist used gold crowns as they would take the pressure. My physical therapist gave me an exercise, will sounds silly, and it took almost a year of doing it but it worked. 1. you tilt your head back 2 you stick out your tongue between your teeth 3 with your fingertips you tap under your chin quite hard as if you are going to hurt yourself for about a min. do this as often as you feel necessary. i am not sure but i think the idea is to switch your brain from clinching your jaw to the area that your tapping therefore kind of rewiring the brain action..
yes my teeth start breakinf of without reason. allready one molar removed and another has to come out and probably a front teeth as well
I went to see my Dentist. He diagnosed it as TMJD for me. I got a mouth appliance to wear and gave me some little exercises to help. I find if I'm in a lot of pain, I tend to clench which then irritates the TMJ. Then I end up with pain in jaw, shoulder and along my head
I hope this helps. β€
