Swelling And Numbness
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I wanna know what others are experiencing when it comes to swelling and numbness. Lately. I have had swelling in my hands and feet at night. By morning. I can feel my feet burning and hands are swollen and stiff. I cant wear my wedding band anymore. I have had fibro for along time, but i dont remember swelling up so much. And what do u do about it . i dont see the rheumo until feb. Thanks for any insight.

My knees are almost always swollen. Had an MRI to rule out anything serious. I have very minor damage to some tendons but not enough to justify the swelling and pain. The doctors still havent a clue why they swell. My hips also swell too (particularly the sides)

Thank you for your answer. I was wondering why i have been gaining weight lately. And that must be why its getting worse. My regular doctor even contemplated started prednisone, but we both decided to hold off. The other day my calves and feet swelled super bad and they were numb!! Anyway thanks again.

Hi i get really bad swelling in my hands and they go purple. The numbness i have goes right up my left arm and I feel like ive no control over it. My coller bones swelled up like a balloon and my armpit is swollen and sore and my breast bone feels like its been booted by a horse. These flare ups can last 8-9 days at a time. When i for my diagnosis my doc just phoned told me what meds i was gerring and to pick it up at chemist and gave me no appointment to see her. That was the end of October so im phoning on monday as im getting to the point im going to wnd up breaking down xxxx
