Fibro Or MS?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Lately my paranoid and anxious mind have had me thinking I've got some other terrible disease that could kill me and/or deteriorate my health and well being.

But I've actually read MS and Fibro are fairly similar in symptoms Dx

So my question is. How many of you have both MS and Fibro. Or perhaps were misdiagnosed with Fibro when you actually found out you have MS?

Or am I going crazy and there's no link?

Seriously debating mentioning this to my doctor to be tested Dx

For me I was walking into walls, slurring my words, etc, beware spinal tap is very painful.my doc wanted it,so I did it,no me and symptoms subsided and vanished when I stopped thinking and focusing on them, they played out for a little while and vanished.I found focusing on what I want and how I want to feel does wonders, but it takes determination t o feel good emtionally, not physically, that comes later.hope someone else tried it,it is how you create a new reality .

I happen to have monthly meet ups with a pain management person, and my next one is the 7th
I'll bring this up to him and get his thoughts on it and also talk to my family doctor too.
Keep me updated ^_^ @A MyFibroTeam Member

I have had Transverse Myelitis - similar to early stage Multiple Sclerosis except it wasnt progressive. I dont think there is a relationship. MS relates to actual damage to the nerves but Fibro from my understanding is more an issue of nerve sensitivity. I think the relationship may really stem to why our immune systems have been compromised
