Hi All Y'all
I've been avoiding any strenuous exercise for about 6 months and paid for it with weight gain and myscle loss. I've tried walking, aerobics, water exercise classes, yoga and I'd about given up until I decided I needed to get busy and do something.
Yesterday I made my husband go with me to a Beginning Yoga class at our church. I was skeptical as the last yoga instructor we had put us through rigorous and rapid asanas or sequences of poses. I couldn't keep up with the class. The… read more

I’ve taken Effexor helps a lot with my pain and energy. No problem with side effects. Everyone’s body is different, been on it for years. Of course, it keeps me from getting depressed.
I know that different medications effect us all in different ways and that what does or doesn't work for others may or may not for me.
That being said, my doctor prescribed Celebrex today and to,d me to take it every do to help control my pain. She also to,d me that we can work out a plan that I can take a larger dose on my really bad pain days. She is very anti narcotic drugs and told me that she will not normally prescribe them for long term use because they just mask the pain and will, in… read more

I am very interested in finding out what types of meds has anyone been on for pain & pain management. I'm really interested in hearing about anyone's experience with taking Methadone for pain & whether it was a positive or a negative experience. I would really appreciate any information that anyone would share with me! Thanks
I have taken Methadone for years for the Fibro as well as for my back and other issues. I agree that coming off of it is a horrible experience, however if you have a good Dr., you will be weaned… read more
Hi to all!
I have seen some similar questions and answers here and all over the internet that would possibly explain this phenomenon but I figured I could bring it up again and see if there is any new or additional information or advice.
I woke up this morning with this weird sort of buzzing/vibrating sensation all over inside me. It seems to be mostly in my upper torso/chest area and is radiating down my arms. I was trying to explain it to my husband and the best description I could come up… read more

The pain and dizziness, the memory laps, the cognitive problems, the depression, the headaches. There is not a part of my body that doesn’t feel affected. Is this normal?

Does your brain fog and memory loss get worse under stress or is it consistent?
Couldn't agree more with Suzie. Because we tend to get isolated and because of the possible inflammation in our CNS because of Fibromyalgia, we need to be very aware of brain health. Part of that is… read more
Hi all,
I’m just curious how many other people experience memory loss. Mine has increased two fold and it’s almost scary! I’ll go to movies and not only forget what it was about two days late, but I will forget I saw it all together! I could go on and on but I feel like I have early on set Alzheimer’s!
Anyone else experience this?
I was in a similar position as JaneDJohnson and eventually lost my job over it. I’ve taken legal action as the company I worked for didn’t believe I have Fibromyalgia and I had to supply their… read more
