Caffeine And Vitamin Sensitivity
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone else ridiculously sensitive to caffeine/vitamins? Thought I’d throw it out there. If I have a decafe tea with a trace of caffeine in the morning I can’t get to sleep at night. If I have a b vitamin, again in the morning, I can’t get to sleep at night. If I dare to have an actual tea or god forbid a coffee (!) in the morning then I definitely won’t sleep before 5am. I quit everything all vits and tea (even decafe) and sleep is much, much less troubling. Wanted to float the idea out… read more

Some days caffeine is all that stands between me and mass murder lol.

Actually I’ve found if I abstain completely from coffee I get worse, just as if I have too. But then when dealing with the rollercoaster of Fibro it’s hard to really pin anything down

You have to be careful with all vitamins and supplements as they can interfere with presciption medicines. I am old school nurse that thinks you should run all vitamins or supplements by a doctor or pharmacist. Yes caffeine affects our sleep. They actually recommend anyone with fibro avoid caffeine entirely

I don’t consume caffeine at all but I do take lots of supplements/vitamins. It has not occurred to me that they could be a problem because they were all recommended by my naturopath, who knows I have fibromyalgia. Are you thinking of anything besides B vitamins?
