I have had fibro for 30 years and made several trips to the er, just to be told they cant find anything and its probably fibro. It took 2 trips to be diagnosed with costochondritis. It is hard to know what to do but you will learn to know your body and know when its something else. (For the most part that is) Anytime you are afraid its something serious go to the er. I would rather you go in and be told its fibro than to not go in and find out its something serious. Better safe than sorry. Hang in there and you can always come here to ask us questions whenever you need to. Hugs

Unfortunately yes. I get that pain also. I'm worried if I ever do have a heart attack. I wont know it because this pain is so harsh and intense you feel like you are. But mine is usually on the right to the middle.

I'm there with you @A MyFibroTeam Member! I've had it off and on since fibro. The Dr did give me nitroglycerin for it and it worked. However I decided since I know what it is now, I'll live with it, one less pill to take! Take care and hugs!

Understand had all heart test and everything pretty normal with the ticker. You have the pains. Over the course of this illness which has been almost twenty years I believe everything has a connection with Fibromyalgia.

Same here! I can feel my sternum "aches", especially at the very top of it and the very bottom of my ribs. I did go to the ER for the first time ever! Did a total heart work up, which was totally fine. I can press on certain areas and reproduce the pain. It just doesn't seem to go away. Very annoying feeling.
