Hi all
I was recently prescribed Quinoric (hydroxychloroquine sulfate) 200mg twice a day and, as it takes so long to take efffect, 5mg Prednisolone steroid once a day to cover the 6-8 weeks it takes to start working. Personally if a little weight gain is the cost of feeling better, id do it. Ive had neck and back issues since 1984, i can't tell you how many injections I've had in neck a and now lower back. I wouldn't function without them and ive never broken a bone. It does have side effects but everything does. You have to weigh the good with bad.
My opinion first get off the steroids because the steroids will deteriorate your bones I had one steroid shot in my back I never had back pain not like that talking about a bad reaction I still have that pain to right now amitriptyline I had allergic reaction and the other one I've never had look at the effects it does on you like I said get off the steroids it's not good for your bones my husband was on that because of his lungs broke his themer bone twice
Marge, I can totally relate with you!! I too have injections in my neck, head & lower back!! I could not function without them. Not only dealing with fibro but now diagnosed with osteoporosis & now have injections daily for that. That's just my life right now! I hope you all have a pain free day today!!
I'm just putting this out there because I know by experience the way we found out is like was hurting when he was coming up the driveway he couldn't get up at so I took him to the emergency room they found out he had a fracture in his femur bone not once but twice that's all I'm saying is for her to be careful you can weigh the good with the bad I'm not saying it didn't clear him up it did I was just telling you be careful
Thanks Nancy, I appreciate your feedback! do you know if the injection still has the side effects?
