I was wondering what kind of exercice you do to stay active. They say exercice is one of the most important thing to make the fibro more manageable, but I'd like to know how much exercice. Walking? Running? Swimming? Other? How many times a week? Which distances? To get an idea of what you guys do and whether or not it helps. Thanks!
Swimming is the best for me..I feel almost normal in the water but I use some type of floatation device now because my legs feel weak or might spasm. I also walk my dog short distances, light… read more

Hi Elayne 🤗
How are you doing? We haven't chatted for awhile.
Hope you're feeling the Best possible. 🙏💗
I started Physical Therapy just last week with the order from my new Rheumatologist. Saw him two times already and all he did was talk to me. No massage, no exercise, but he feel like he needs to give me a lot of info about fibro. I told him I already have series of books and dvds. I understand that the first day could be evaluation first but I feel that even though I keep telling the PT I have pains on my arms and legs while talking to him that he just ignored those on our second meeting… read more
Thank you everyone. I decided to look for a new PT today. There is one near my home instead. I'll see if this is better. At least now I know that there should be some action not all talk.

I feel like the answer to this question is a resounding yes, but for the purposes of exercise, does anyone know more about how this works and/or how we can prevent injury/muscle strain? Many mornjngs I wake up so stiff that it fees like I am pulling muscles just walking and warming up to do some stretching and basic strengthening exercises.

Sorry my reply is late. I find hydrotherapy very helpful. It is the only way l can excercise. I use a noodle to float and jog under water. Helps a lot. Can only go about twice a week as pool is 20min… read more
I try to stretch each day, but often leads to fatigue. I also walk as much as possible and take breaks as needed.
I’m tired of seeing, just start using weights for better health! too vague. And then I feel like a truck hit me after doing a simple 60 minute yoga session with ppl who are my moms age or older. AURGH!
I have found doing reformer Pilates twice a week has helped strengthen my leg and back muscles. In between I do water aerobics when the weather is not too cold. I have found it helps as well. I also… read more
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! At night I go through 3 - 4 pillows and must change my night clothes, its quite bad during the day also (to the point of being embarrassment). Sometimes my sheets are soaked from my ankles to my head. I can actually see the out line of my body.
Yes, it's terrible.
