What Do You Do On The Days Where You Feel Sore?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

There are days I am fine and having no issues. Then days that I am sore an the lyrica isn’t helping with the dull pain? Is it best to rest or take meds before it gets worse? Just got diagnosed and trying to learn as much as I can

You will learn as you go along what works best for you. If you are in a lot of pain now, trying out the Lyrica may help, but maybe it won't. I didn't start taking it until I was about 10 years in having fibromyalgia. I found that it did help some, so stayed with it. I take 3 or 4 drugs that can cause weight gain. It has never been a sure bet, but I know I can lose weight if I put effort into it, brcause I have.

The things which have helped the most with pain for me are these: heat, sleep, ice sometimes, a small dose of oxycodone at night, Tylenol arthritis strength, Aspercreme, and Salonpas pads. Oh, and a good muscle relaxant.

Good luck!

epsom salt baths work for me. rest and stretching work too. i also made my own pain rub. bees wax, eucaluptis oil and shea butter. each of us is different so it takes some trial and error to find what works for us.

I usually rest. I find taking my pain meds routinely helps the best. If i wait till im in full blown pain to take them they dont help as well.
