My neurologist suggested I get botox on my head neck shoulders and jaw and I’m a bit nervous about how I will tolerate the injections

Since fibro I started get serve chronic daily migraines and tension headaches plus a new one I think cluster headaches
My doctor wants me to do botox n my insurance will cover it. But I'm scared to do to it.
I got lidocaine shots in my neck n got kinda sick n had pain for awhile.
I've read that neck pain from other muscles working n headaches r very common side effect n that it's pretty bad. That doesn't sound good.
Has anyone had this done? Any input would be great.… read more

Hi, Technically this is 2 questions but they are interlinked so I thought I'd ask them together x

I am already on P.I.P because of my Disc Degeneration, but now I've been diagnosed with FM as well, should I try to get my award updated or leave it till my review next year. (I don't want to end up losing what I already have)

Part 2 Has FM been classified yet in the UK as a long term disability? I know it has in America and Northern Ireland but not sure about here.

Just came home from meeting my new Neurologist and he said we have exhausted all the meds but this Zonegran and Botox injections. He is having his staff see if my insurance will pay for it, since I avg 5/week. Just wanted to know if anyone else has tried them and would like to hear about their experience..

I have finally seen a migraine specialist and he has recommended Botox injections to reduce my 24/7 chronic migraines.
I truly appreciate any feedback on this including side effects if any.

Need advice on coping with migraines and FM. What have you found will take the edge off so that it's not so debilitating. I'm at my wits end and not coping well.

Hi my friends! I can't get rid of these chronic migraines which are disabling me. Please share you experiences with meds you've tried. Preventive and abortive. I can't do abortive triptans due to heart affects, NSAIDS or Depakote are all out. Depakote was the worst drug I ever tried in my life! Have you ever heard of "Life of Fred" or LOF.

Wanted to know if any one takes this med for headaches. My Neurologist prescribed for me, and I was just wanted to know what to expect while taking this med.
