My question is about @exercise. I know with fibro it's hard but you need to do it. My issue is I also have a very bad neck and back. It's bad enough that the Dr is looking into operating. I also have arthritis throughout my body and with the fibro it's hard to know what kind of @exercise to do

My suggestion is walking. Walking helps! Start out short lengths and not to fast. Work your way up to longer lengths and faster. We need to keep these muscles working in our legs. Walking won't hurt your neck or back. Yes, water therapy is great, but sometimes hard to get to. I go to a school in my neighborhood and walk there track in the evenings. There's usually more people out there walking too. Hope it helps. Prayers & Hugs β€
I changed from weight lifting to yoga two months ago and it has been the best change by far. The daily yoga helps stretch everything while still increasing strength. Some moves I still have to lower my arms or make adjustments but overall I am happy with the results. I also walk daily as movement is best for my symptoms. Of course it is a balancing act as too much walking or daily activity or too intense of an activity can run me down and make my pain worse.
Aquatic physical therapy! You can do it at your local YMCA and it will give you full access! And your insurance will cover it!
Gentle movements really help but if new to the body I have had some soreness the next day. Hope this helps.
I find that doing water aerobics works very well.Being in the water helps so there is not a lot of stress on the joints.
