Pregabalin And Low Mood / Depression
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ive been on pregabalin for 11 weeks and since 2 weeks ago , my depression with no hint of return came back . I literally yoyo between one good day and one bad and sometimes its extreme . Has anyone else experienced this? I also take sertraline 50mg every other day so i dont know if the 2 could be clashing

You can Google the reaction between the two medications to find out if there are any reported reactions between them.
I always check them on Google before I start taking new meds as my doc doesn't bother to check. 😕

I've been on Pregabalin for months and I take 200mg morning and evening, but I haven't had any signs at all of depression. Although when I was put on other meds like Amitriptyline and others from that group of meds, they made me really ill within a few days of taking them. I suppose they all affect us differently and just because one doesn't suit one person, it doesn't mean it isn't any good because it could work very well for someone else.

Have u seen your doc to ask them to review your anti depression drugs as maybe not on enough of it?? When I was on sertraline I was taking 200mg for depression as a lower dosage didn't do anything for me. Take care hugs xx

I don't think they can be related as the gabapentin really just calms the nerves so they fire less. I take Valdoxan for depression/anxiety and gaba for nerve pain. No side effects.
