Mark. Yes it does sound like fibro. I'm pretty sure the doctor will think so too. I was on neurontin (gabepentin) for years. I was up to 3600mg a day and it did help a lot. Then I started swelling in my legs and had to go off of it. It takes time for it to build up in your body and you may need a higher dosage. I hope you get some answers soon. Keep me informed. I will add you to my team to help keep in touch. Hugs

Mark. Yes it is possible to hurt worse in one area than all over but to be diagnosed with fibro they say you have to have widespread pain for I think 6 months. It sounds like they have ruled pretty much everything else out by doing all those tests. That is another thing they do to diagnose fibro is to rule out any other issues that could be causing pain. Did they do a Mri on your spine? I have herniated and budging discs in my low back and it does cause pain in my kidney area sometimes. It does sound like you may have fibro but if the pain is only in that area, it is possible it is discs that are damaged. Do you have any other symptoms of fibro? Brain fog or severe Fatigue? Sleeping issues is also very prevalent with fibro.

Hi lisa.. thanks for the reply. Well i had ct with contrast in august all clear, also had liver function tests, full blood count. Urea and electrolytes. Also had a flexi cystocopy a colonoscopy and an endoscopy aswell as upper abdominal ultra sound done and came back fine on liver, pancreas, gall bladder, spleen and kidneys. Is it possible for fibro to hurt more in 1 place than else where?

It could be fibro but it could be kidney issues. Your kidneys are to the left and right of your spine from about your mid back down to just above your waist. Do you have pain allover or just there? Fibro is widespread pain allover but it can start in one area. Have you had bloodwork or any tests done? Your doctor should check your kidney function and maybe do a ultrasound to rule out kidney issues. I hope you figure out what it is soon. Good luck.
