I was just diagnosis one month ago with fm and every new symptom worries me. The skin pain is the worst I don't want my clothes to touch me. When it's really bad I've noticed my veins are really popped out about 5-10 minutes after pain has started, when the pain eases the veins fade too and it seems like pain is coming from the vein, does this happen to you or anyone… read more

Your blood pressure may be going up as a result of the pain. It would be worth checking during an episode.

I feel your pain. I got a Tens muscle stimulating device like they use at PT office and that helps with my lumps and swollen veins.

My legs used to swell, jump and hurt especially at night. The cardioligist said not Restless Leg Syndrome. He did an in-office procedure called a Venous Closure that helped.

It also helps if my wife presses down on the sore and swollen areas. Not massage, just deep pressure.

I take Lyrica up to 3 times per day.
Hope you get some relief!

Wow...I thought maybe I bumped something and just happen to have another bruise without realizing but I usually always end up with bruises too. Glad to know I'm not crazy if I'm not the only one. My doctor has seen the purple/blue swelling, scheduled me to see specialist the did ultrasound but by the time I went a couple days later of course it was gone
