being new to fibro I never really know what to expect. I see people posting about being really tired or not being able to do much because of the pain, but does anyone else have days where your muscles are so extremly weak you can hardly get off the couch? All my muscles feel heavy and it takes so much effort to get up. I couldn't even sit up to eat supper tonight. So very frustrating :(
Yes so weak and tired like I’ve been drugged, happened to me last night after eating marinated chicken skewers. I felt fine then about an hour and a half later the fatigue hit me like a tsunami. My eye lids swelled up red as did my lips, about 20 minutes of yawning heart racing and then slept for an hour. Woke up feeling a bit better. Aside from cracked lips it’s been a good day today
Yes. My arm has noticeable weakness. My ankles have started to give out where I rolled my ankle. Very painful and swollen for a week. I randomly drop things too.
@ SharonNagel, I'm on nortriptyline for nerve pain/intense head pressure and it's causing horrible muscle problems. have to taper off of it over a months time and until then they said just take benadryl to help when I get the muscle attacks, but even taking 3 benadryl doesn't help much. not looking forward to getting the head pressure and nerve pain back. I'm so sensitive to meds it makes it hard to find one that works.
Yes i have days i cannot even stand. My legs shake so badly and my husband has tohelp me shower. After 5 minutes in the shower im weak, wobbly and exhausted and have to sit down and dry myself. It seems to take all my energyto just do that. I even have days im either confined to bed or if i go out in a wheelchair. Its taken me along time to accept this part of my Fibromyalgia. Gentle hugs x
Yes most days my muscles feel like I ran a marathon. I've started using Karma rub (liquid magnesium), sadly I cannot use it neat on affected muscles due to hyper sensitive skin, it feels like a million paper cuts but have found it works if I rub into soles of feet at night.
