Gabapentin Vs Lyrica??
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm just looking for some of your experiences with Gabapentin and Lyrica? I'm only taking Gabapentin, and on a good day, I need at least 5 x 300 mg for my pain. My max is 8... that seems like alot to me, but my Dr says it's okay. And that won't even really help with all my symptoms sometimes, it doesn't help with the sensory overload symptoms :( Plus I'm gaining weight, and fast... If anyone has any useful info for me?? Thanks!

Inquire about Savella, it has been a game change for me!
I can finally hold a glass of a cold beverage without having to wrap a napkin around it.

Hello All, Is Anyone Experiencing Frequent Tears In The Knees Meniscus, Shoulders, And Hips?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

My knees hurt, hip and shoulder also hurt. MRI shows tears in the ligaments and Meniscus. It is just like every joint has a tear. I am so confused about why this is happening. Is this related to fibromyalgia?

Lyrica
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have slowly been titrated on Lyrica because I am sensitive to medications. Have made it to 100 mg twice a day. When tried to increase one dose to 150 mgms felt very shakey deep inside felt like it was affecting my stomache also with a shakiness. Also felt like I was having an out of body experience. Tried it for a week and kept getting symptoms again. I refused to stay on that dose so am back on 100 mgm 2 times daily with no sleepiness shakiness or stomache problems. I really dont like taking… read more

Lyrica VS Gabapentin
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I currently take Gabapentin and have for years now. I have to keep increasing the dosage. I still feel like I'm having way more bad days than good days. I know that Lyrica is another option but I've heard it's just a more expensive version of Gabapentin. Has anyone experienced both and can tell me which one you personally felt worked better.

Thank you so much. Any advice would be appreciated.

Lyrica
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm starting Lyrica, can I get some pros and cons from anyone. I did say if I see a weight gain I will stop it asap. Has it been any help, if so how? Gabapentin didn't work and cymbalta dose was to low at 60 mg now with that. I hate this disease.

When I Take The Lyrica, It Feels As If I Am Having Electrical Impulses Through My Entire Body. Does Anyone Else Experience Anything Similar?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I recently started taking Lyrica after being on Gabapentin for 3 years. When I take the Lyrica, it feels as if I am having electrical impulses through my entire body. It distorts my vision, motor function, ability to think. It also makes my nauseous and disoriented. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Meds
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone only take Gabapentin for fibro? My sister is a nurse and she asked why I'm not on Cymbalta, lyrica,or Savella. She said those are the 3 approved meds for fibro. I'm just curious if I'm being treated correctly. I'm on other meds like anti inflammatory and muscle relaxor but I'm wondering about specific for fibro.
