Bad Side Effects To Medications
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

So far all I've taken is cymbalta and it was the worst hell I've ever been through due to medication. My doctor said it may be because I might be bi-polar and am having a bad reaction because of the anti depressant part of it. Are there any medications that help with fibromyalgia that doesn't have any anti depressant in it?

@A MyFibroTeam Member. I have had several severe allergic reactions too. I took bactrim, a sulfa drug and felt like i was dying. I made my mom sleep by me when i took it because i was afraid i would not live thru rhe night. I also had a problem twith tegretol. I was on darvocet with it and was covered with hives for a full month. I went to 5 doctors at my primarys office during that month and no one new what it was from. Finally the last doctor said it was a severe interaction with darvocet. He put me on steroids and theyfinally went away. I felt like i had hives in my lungs and if they did not put me on steroids when they did i think i would have died. It was so scary. So anyone taking any medicine, please listen to your bodies and if something feels off then get help asap. You might die if.you don't. Hugs

Yes, I was changed two times on my meds for depression and anxiety and it was horrible, I currently have went back on my Prozac. Feeling So much better, when something works don't let docs play around with others. Thank you for being so concerned.

I take clonazepam for muscle twitching, stabbing pain, it helps. I cannot tolerate SSRIs.
