Im starting yoga next week only a strady class as i want to exercise but the zumba i did has become impossible .anybody done yoga whilst having fibro 🤔
Find an aqua aerobics class if you can...or aqua zumba. The only time I'm not in pain is when I'm in the water.
I have done Pilates for the past 5 years. And I'm due to start Yoga soon.
I now about it if I miss a week out of pilates, I end up so stiff and in some much pain. It was hard to start with, but once I started to get my muscles working it was brilliant. My instructor is amazing, she helps me when I'm struggling and tells me how to alter certain exercises so they work for me.
I did try yoga for the first time this past Saturday, doing the restore and relax session, and was in a lot of pain that evening and the next day. My doc said this would probably happen the first few times, so I am going to give it a go again and see what happens. I would just recommend taking it slowly.
I agree for me gentle stretching and water aerobics help much better than yoga!!
I found TIA CHI to be a little gentler on me, but whatever work for you. p.s there are some yoga positions I still do, hope you find what you need , gentle hugs
