A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

What do you find helps with abdominal pain and nausea? Which foods do you avoid due to flare-ups? Which foods agree with you most? When do you eat in a day? What kind of food prep or cooking do you do? What do you eat when the pain is really bad? What do you eat when you're too in pain or fatigued to cook? Etc etc.

I have had to totally give up milk because it kills my stomach. I also reduced processed foods and breads. I have read that Mediterranean diet is really good for fibro.

yes, I need to really cut out gluten out of my diet, I've been cheating because of $ issues, but that stops now, ginger is great and I use mint tea alot

with food prep I find it easier to cut up my veggies on a good day, I freeze them on a cookie sheet before bagging them to avoid a soggy mess-hope this helps-gentle hugs

I was in agony after every meal for about 9 months until i discovered the Low Fodmap diet. It has made a huge difference and as long as i stick to it i dont get any abdominal pain or nausea. Honestly finding the diet it has been a life saver!!
Nausea can also be a side effect from meds. I did go on one med and had to come off it due to chronic nausea.
