Trauma is apart of fibromyalgia. I also learned from my gynaecologist today that the disease is starting to be looked at as an autoimmune disease with more that they are finding out about it. Most woman that do have it though has been through some sort of trauma in their life. She also told me that it tends to run in women more then men because of our immune systems not being as strong as men.

Mine is definitely from psychological trauma. I was able to trace the start of my symptoms back to when my son started suffering from depression and severe anxiety in high school. He is 28 now and still has issues, but when he was in high school it was so bad and I was in constant high alert. It was a very traumatic time in our lives.
