Fasting Question
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I just recently discovered this website. I’ve been suffering from Fibromyalgia for a while now and have always been able to deal with it although it’s gotten a lot more difficult recently. I haven’t seen anything mentioned regarding fasting. I saw a video on Amazon Prime called “The Science of Fasting” which talks about how fasting can help the body fix many issues that our modern lifestyle brings us. I’m curious if anybody has tried this? I know it isn’t something that is well known in the… read more

Bless you..it is hard to cope with for so many of us; However Nutrition plays a vital role first bodies to maintain a good balance. I found going without food made me more grumpy & irritable & felt quite sick as other medications like anti- inflams you need to take with food .
I'd talk to your consultant first hun. big hugs

I would say that if the Lord moves u to fast then I would be obedient. But ask him first if it has to be a complete one. I recently had to do one n I was able to drink a warm cup of chicken bullion at bedtime, only so many ounces. It got me through it but it was Rough!

Yes you are right about fasting. It has many, many health benefits.
I follow the keto diet and you are encouraged to do intermittent fasting. And the strange thing about it is it’s not that hard to do. With keto, you have a high fat intake. (The fat is all the healthy fat). So when you fast your body has a lot of energy stored and you don’t feel deprived or hungry.
The benefits of fasting would take way too long to write here so it would be easy just to google the benefits of fasting. I think most people would be surprised to know how healthy it is.
