Does Anyone Else Lose Temporary Nerve Function And Feeling In A Finger Or Fingers Sometimes?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

It’s like that really annoying sensation when you wake up and have been laying on a limb wrong and are trying to wake it up.

It only happens maybe once every few months, but today when I was cutting up a squash, I pressed my hand down on the top of the blade and felt a jolt up my right pointer finger but this time it’s not waking up like usual. Now it’s been like this for 6 hours.

I have had numbness in my hands and feet for years but a few years ago I had a numb buttock and thigh. I ignored it. 2 days later I woke up with the left side of my face all numb. Panicked. Went to my GP convinced I'd had a stroke. No. It's my fibro. It still affects all of my left side. It's more of a lack of sensation than numbness these days luckily.

I haven't had it for that long that I remember, but I do have numbness randomly (I used to get funny looks when I told people my knee was asleep). It's quite annoying.

Raynaud’s? It doesn’t have to be cold at all to experience the symptoms.

All these things are scary, I've felt this too and thought something was really wrong

Constantly. I've found keeping hotpads on my feet to help push different nerve reaction away from numbness. I also sleep with my head angled up like a fully reclined chair with that slight tilt. As long as my hands are below my head and heart it seems to help a lot. I also use good thick lotion and massage areas that are common problems. Doesn't always work, but I kind of try confusing my nerves away from their over reaction. (If that makes sense) Best Wishes for a better tomorrow. :)
