Can Anyone Relate To My Situation?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I've just been diagnosed by my PCP with fibromyalgia. I'm not so sure it's really fibromyalgia but there can't find anything else. I don't have the pinpoint pain locations. I hurt all over and more often in my back. My real question is does anyone have fasciculations? I have had a clean emg but he didn't diagnose as bfs but that's what it is..

and does anybody have rapid heartbeat at times? Mine will go up to 130s with minimum exertion.. my blood pressure goes up to about 150/80 too when it… read more

I agree with Dynomom. I get so frustrated when people tell me how good I look when inside I feel so bad. When people ask me how I am, I just say " I'm okay ". It does no good to tell them how I really feel. Hang in there and take it one day at a time.

I am very sorry to hear that! Your journey unfortunately will be made more difficult by some people. We all go through it. People find it very hard to have compassion for others with invisible chronic illnesses. I'm still being told by friends I might bump into about how good I look....that's on the outside!! Even those friends I have known 33+yrs before the Fibro still forget because they still judge my situation by how I look. It is very frustrating...I want to scream sometimes. 😞 probably the best place to start rather than thinking every pain, twitch etc. is the Fibro...research what it is and the symptoms that come with it. That way you can better identify wjat is really related to the Fibro..
Do the same with the Chronic Fatigue. As I mentioned earlier, we have common symptoms but often have varying ones as well.
I have never heard of Benign Fasciculation Syndrome....sometjing I will need to research.
Be encouraged...you are most definitely not alone. I would suggest you write down your questions before your next Dr's appointment.
Hopefully this helped.
Diane 😊

Hi, I get the rapid heart beats, extreme cold hands and feet too. I was diagnosed with sinus tachycardia as all other tests were normal. My heart now beats at resting between 100/130 beats per minute but can go up to anything from 150/190 beats per minute. It has all been put down to my fibro. My feet are always cold and up just past my ankles. They get so cold that they go a mottled colour again all put down to fibro. My balance is poor as is my depth perception, so I can walk through a doorway and hit the frame, even though I've moved over to miss It!! Again all put down to fibro! Oh and acid reflux.... yep tell me about it!!! Here in the UK Drs don't know too much about fibro or pcos so I have to research the conditions and take the literature with me!!! So in answer to your question yes fibro is crazy and can make your body do some weird stuff!!! I hope you start to feel a little better soon xx
