For myself, they blamed it on stress, depression and anxiety. It didn't matter if I told them that I didn't deal with depression or anxiety. That I was taught how to deal with my problems. Then I got… read more

Knee Pain
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've had a problem we my knee on and off for years but nothing like this and not in this area.

Its just below my knee, but before my shin bone starts. The pain is so bad i cant move my leg without the pain increasing to another planet. I just want to cry.

I will go to the doctors in the morning, I've taken strong painkillers and had ice on it on and off all day and just put a 12hour deep freeze pad on hoping that will help me get some sleep, i doubt it will be worth a try

Is There A Particular Style Of Yoga That Has Helped Anyone Here?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need a stretching type class because I'm so bad at doing things to help my situation at home. My thigh muscles are much tighter than any others and it causes my knee caps to pull up. I have trouble with lounges and various other positions but when I stretch it helps.

Fibromyalgia /PIP/ Disability Classification UK
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, Technically this is 2 questions but they are interlinked so I thought I'd ask them together x

I am already on P.I.P because of my Disc Degeneration, but now I've been diagnosed with FM as well, should I try to get my award updated or leave it till my review next year. (I don't want to end up losing what I already have)

Part 2 Has FM been classified yet in the UK as a long term disability? I know it has in America and Northern Ireland but not sure about here.

Thanks for your advice x

I'm Having Horrible Neck Pain With Severe Limited Range Of Motion. Any Suggestions For Relief?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I began getting a sore neck about three weeks ago it has since become unbearable. I'm not currently on any fibro meds and am really struggling with this. The pain is now causing headaches and anxiety issues. It feels as though my neck is swollen. I have been under a ton of stress so I'm not surprised I'm flaring! It's difficult to turn my head! Has anyone else ever experienced this and what did you do to ease the symptoms?
