Neurontin
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone,

I just was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and this weekend I started Neurontin. This is my third day and I have taken two out of the three pills I am going to take today. It is controlling my pain but I noticed my lips are tingling and are a little numb. Is that normal? Any thoughts will be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Donna

I am so glad you did not wait to go to er. I have had my lips swollen bad too. It is scary and painful. I hope you are feeling better today. Hugs

The tingling and numbing started once I started the Neurontin. The Er and regular doctor said is was allergic reaction. But I hope it stops for you soon.

I'm not on Nerontin, and have the weirdest tingling around my mouth. I'm thinking this is fibro.

I take Lyrica. I was on Gabapentine for yrs, but I just can't handle all the weight gain. As far as the Neurontin goes, Google the side effects. That's what I did, that is how I found out about my weight gain. I thought that I wasn't eating right or not exercising enough.

I went to my doctor and he said the same thing so he put me on Cymbalta. Any advice on what to take for pain until it starts working? Thanks
