If you have had shingles in the past can this be a trigger for fibro.
I have not been diagnosed at the moment but I'm showing all the symptoms. X
I had chicken pox as a kid and shingles twice as an adult. I got the Shigrex Vaccine, it is not a live virus and shouldn’t cause shingles, though it has swollen glands and joint pain. At the time I go… read more
I was diagnosed with this after EMG nerve conduction test.
Has anyone been diagnosed with this or have heard of it?
My primary care dr has never heard of it?
I have never heard of it. Googled and found that my autonomic dysfunction may be related to fibromyalgia. Thanks for sharing.
I had arthritis pain seen I was 29 yrs old and was just told that I have fibro this year. My joints and muscles get stiff and ache. I have arthritis 97% of my body. I also have nerve pain from all my surgeries I had. I'm trying to figure out if I do have fibro or not.
It takes a while to diagnose fibromyalgia if I were you the first thing I would do is go on Google and look at the 12 fibromyalgia points and see if it applies to you I believe now there are 15 and to… read more
Hi! Wondering if anyone experiences electrical shocks throughout their body? I get them so badly my body actually moves on it's own. If I get one in bed, my whole body raises off the bed. Once, while drinking a glass of water I got a shock and hit the glass into my teeth. No broken teeth...that time and I hate drinking out of plastic! :)
I went to a MAPS clinic, just once...and when I told the PA about the above, using the bed as an example, I was told it was probably static electricity in… read more

Every morning for the past week or two I've been waking up with thumb pain so intense that it makes me yell/scream when I move it. It's only on my right hand and it gets a bit better during the day, so I must be doing something to it in my sleep, idk what. I wear wrist braces at night for my carpal tunnel syndrome, but they aren't made specifically for thumb support (my thumb brace doesn't provide adequate wrist support, I've tried both together but it doesn't seem to help). Does anyone know… read more

What coping mechanisms do people use? As I'm majorly struggling at the mo, I'm at breaking point
I think the key for me was to realise that there would be days where reaching the end of my tolerance as inevitable. Sometimes having someone there to say "you will be ok" is enough. Sometimes you… read more
I was diagnosed with Raynaud's syndrome this spring. Does it make your hands clumsy? I'm having a great deal of difficulty using eating utensils. I've had to sometimes double the time I allow to make meals.
Also my hands are weak and I can't lift much weight. I'm also dropping things constantly.
Mine get like that when weather changes...I wear gloves to help me out especially to keep them warm. I always keep regular gloves, earmuffs, in my bag. I always carry a jacket and I wear thin stretch… read more
