I've been experiencing this for a while. It's pretty sore. Also, Hands feel swollen but they are not and they feel very hot. My hands are always too hot or freezing cold
It always happens when i'm i'm at my worst. Not that i need an indicator to tell me i'm at my worse, but i know when this happens what i'm experiencing on a daily basis, which is bad enough, it's about to get a whole lot worse. The only thing that helps somewhat, which is weird, is keeping my hands in my pocket for a support

I think I've read that carpal tunnel is actually common in fibro. I used to get the hands and toes things you mention also. Now I think it's pain from arthritis but they still do get stuck, although they don't look swollen, just getting bumpy arthritis looking. I wonder if they get stuck because the muscles tighten so the tendons could be affected. I try to do finger exercises like the pianists do when it gets bad. Moist heat can help sometimes.

I definitely get the sore hands and burning but my thumbs are the worst. I have terrible arm pain and I agree on the pockets for support! I think my family thinks I'm nuts when I have to put my hands in pockets to support my arms so they aren't just hanging. I find they throb much more when my arms are just dangling!

sorry to hear you will need more surgery but glad it has helped and hopefully will again. I googles which fingers it effects and i was wrong, so maybe is carpal tunnel i have too. I was jusy so frsutrated with my GP that day dismissing all my other symptoms and talking about carpal tunnel that i actually dismissed carpal tunnel. Is it GP or Rheumy who's the best to talk to about it? I 'm on the rheumy waiting list.
