I have found that amitriptyline makes me very dozy, in fact I had to lower my dose and put up with some level of pain to function at all on it. I have met other people though, who have very disturbed sleep on it, and for some it induces nightmares. It's that frustrating thing that one remedy does not suit all. I wonder if anyone has taken it and had it settle after a while because sometimes you need to give things a chance before you reject them. Finding out how long you should try it for might be your next best move.

I haven't. The med I take helps me get to sleep but doesn't keep me asleep. Cannabis butter my friend gave me has been the best sleep aid I ever had

Yes I take them at night and within an hour I'm sleepy hope u get some rest soon

I take amitriptyline 30mg and 5mg nitrazapam every night, it is the only way I can sleep.

u probably need the amitriptyline to be increased im on 75mgs and it till doesnt help me sleep x i cant take diflofenac allergic x
