I was moved from DLA to PIP 18 months ago. I have various illnesses but my fibro was a huge part of getting both care and mobility. My first step was a phone call where the person discussed my issues and decided if I was eligible to claim or not. After that they sent all the forms out, there's a lot to fill in but you get heaps of space to write anything they need to know.
My main advice would be to have as much evidence as possible of your daily struggles, this site is also worth a look as there is some brilliant advice and also a pip eligibility calculator. You've nothing to lose by applying, good luck!!
