Has Anyone In The UK Tried Breakspear Medical?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

This is a private hospital in Hemel Hempstead, that offers treatments for conditions like fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, lyme disease etc. I first heard it from my GP, who told me that they might be helpful but it would be very pricey. After researching on the internet and reading people's experiences, I had the impression that they make patients go through so many tests and then offer long-term treatments that are very expensive. In almost all the stories I read, people with fibromyalgia or cfs symptoms… read more

I don't believe there is a total relief or recovery for Fibro that can be taught or treated!! However my doctor did tell me about six months ago that they have heard of a few patients that Fibro has run its course and left. (I can't think of the last word that would mean the patient is now cured of all Fibro symptoms!). Fibro fog! Lol

Hi Canti
I to suffer quite badly and have done a lot of reasearch myself and even looked into the kind of treatment you are talking about or thinking of having.
All I can say Hun is please don't waste your money on people who claim they can treat or cure this.
I am coming to terms with trying to manage the Condition myself by knowing my limits of what I am able to do although everyday is different.
This condition has changed me and my life so much but positive thinking, good diet a little excersise if a good day and try to do little things I used to love to do and have to pace myself and do a small amount without overdoing it. Hydro pools are excellent and a def once a week Thing for me, also sauna is good if you have muscle stiffness. Accupuncture is another good treatment. Maybe you could try this and try to see if eating certain foods give you a flare up.
It's all trial and error to see what helps you!
Sleep is another problem most of the time. This condition actually carries a lot more symptoms than people realise some people have severe and others could be less.
I don't want to ramble but please spend the money on this kind of treatment if you did it is like just throwing your money away!
If you decide to go ahead let me know how it goes....
Keep smiling
Trudy 🙂
