I had a severe cold about 6 weeks ago and I took antibiotics for it. On the second day of antibiotics I got a flare up- deep aches all over my body. I had gone off my noretryptilyn and so I decided to start it again. It's not working like it did before (before it took my symptoms away almost immediately) so my anxiety increased. Now I have little muscle jerks like the ones that are normal to get when you are drifting to sleep- except I'm awake. I'm not sure if I had these at the start of… read more
muscle jerking i have jto idea if it's the anxiety of fibro or both but it has been with me nearly every day
This was one of my first fibro symptoms. I would get horrible twitching mostly in my legs. So bad I couldn't sleep at times. Anxiety definitely makes it worse for me. Occasionally I take Flexeril if it gets really bad, but I try not to take it regularly due to other side effects (drowsiness, dry mouth, etc). Usually after a few days or a week or two it goes away until the next major flare.
For me the twitching as I call it, the doctor says, is a side affect of my medication. I am not sure but any neurotransmitter medications will have some effects on our muscles. Our muscles read messages from the brain in our body and my Cymbalta, Pregabalin, Tramacet, interrupts those messages. Does that make sense. ps; i don't have migraines and i get those symptoms
When I was on @Cymbalta and they increased my dosage I would get horrible twitching/jerking.
hey lovely i also experience muscle spasms and jerks all the time and the more tired I become the more I seem to get these things. you ain't alone x
