I have been suffering for a couple,of years with very painful heels like walking on nails, I have been diagnosed with plantis fascitis, I have noticed when my fibro flares up the pain in my heels do I think this is another symtomn of fibro although the doctors say no. .
The are so many things we suffer with, you wonder if it is all down to fibro, or like someone else said you have these other problems but the fibro makes it worst, I get to the point where I just accept all these different problems now. If I can manage them I do. I suffer with restless legs is this your problem aswell.
When I went to a podiatrist regarding this I was told me it was plantis fascitis, I don't know whether that is what you have Louisa but I was told to roll a tennis ball,or golf ball under your arches on the floor, its to do with the tendons in your feet they get tight and need stretching, it does help, try it it can't hurt. But I think it is another symtomn of fibro, let me know how you get on.
I have planter fasciitis and I found that if I stretch by holding onto say the counter put one leg out behind me on my toes then try to slowly lower my heel to the floor it loosens the tendons an ligaments making the pain almost nullified.
My sister has this condition, and she doesn't have FM. But I have noticed that we sufferers who have fibromyalgia tend to feel the pain of any other condition we have more severely than non-sufferers. For instance, I also have arthritis, and when I have a flare, my arthritis feels thrice as bad. This is such a fun disease. I know there are special exercises and orthotics for plantar fascitis; I hope in time your heels make a recovery.
Just these last few weeks i thought I had spurs. I have to go ask. Its just like you said .. walking on nails and my sister said spurs so back i go. But so tired sleeping a lot cause feet hurt
