Years ago i decided i had had enough of prescription pain meds, anti depressants, sleeping pills muscle relaxants etc. i did not like the way it made me feel like i was losing who i was. Too mind altering and it was affecting my relationships with those nearest and dearest to me. i just felt like i was losing me in there somewhere. I smoke pot to deal with most of my issues. The amount is really hard to discern because that is based on my day. Some days it will take a half a joint to feel that sense of the body being able to relax others up to 2 in a sitting for the same affect. I work full time so i refrain all day but its the first thing i do when i get off work. I find it helps for sleep, as a muscle relaxant and is calming when my body feels the stresses of a day of pain. i on the other hand was hoping to find a way besides smoking it cause i am coughing too much. I wish you luck in finding what works best for you.

I will smoke a hybrid or sativa when i get home from work to take the edge off. I will usually have another just before dinner because the pain gives me a constant nausea feeling so i have a hard time eating. Then before bed i will try an indiga ,it will usually burn me out enough that i can fall asleep. It will not take your pain away but will bring it to a more tolerable level . This is all i use for pain ,i dont believe in willingly poisoning myself with pills. I also dont believe in going to work high ,so i am more than ready for my medicine when i get home. Thats why the physical job helps once you get past the first hour of limbering up a bit as long as i keep busy physically at work im good. Once i am not busy everything starts to seize up and hurt more.
