I tell this to every doctor I have ever visited. On a really bad day, I feel like the blood running in my veins is cutting me from the inside....like it were glass. When I found my rheumatologist I see now, I had them check me for Sickle Cell. Anyone old enough to remember the filmstrips we had in grade school that showed a Sickle Cell crisis? I hate when I get it, I want to die then.
Gosh no never heard of that before, but DAMN it sounds horrible!! The thing with Fibro is that some symptoms mirror so many other things. And they're so many symptoms (I've learned of like 10 from this site alone, that luckily I don't have!!).
So people give us the side-eye when explaining our symptoms like we just went online & copied a bunch down, they think we're hypochondriacs. And sometimes I'll doubt my own self (am I really feeling this??)!! THAT'S CRAZY!! Of course I'm feeling/experiencing what I am... IT'S MY BODY & I'M IN IT!!!
I was just sent this article that may explain to you why you get this sensation from blood flow. Also sounds similar to how my relatives describe their gout. Have you been checked for that?

I had just looked up sickle-cell before finding this site.... I know I don’t have sickle-Cell though.
I don’t have an answer but I had gout when I was 13 years old.... I get this sensation often especially in the tops of my hands... Thanks, I’ll definitely read the article...
@A MyFibroTeam Member, yes, gout and 10,0000 other things including Sickle Cell....nothing.
