Locked Jaw?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else get jaw lock? Ive never had it before so I don't know if it's just a one-off thing or is a new Fibro related problem. It started with nerve pain in my neck near my ear and then developed into a locked jaw. Strange.

I don't have it now, but when I was younger it happened to me all the time when I yawned. I wonder if that nerve pain you mentioned has anything to do with it. I had had impacted wisdom teeth. When they finally came out I don't believe I had time problem anymore.

Yes. I had it about eight years ago but did not know at the time what it was. Doctors told me it was TMJ and I needed surgery.. After about a year it went away and has not returned. I have had fibro about twenty years and have had certain spots come and go but for the most part I hurt all over. I am almost 74 years old.

Yes, my jaw has been locked for 2 years. It's not fun. TMJ issues are common with fibro.
