Does Perfume Make Fibromyalgia Worse? What Is The Best Perfume To Wear When You Have Fibromyalgia?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I think wearing perfume may trigger flare ups and wonder if anyone has found perfumes that would not be as likely to cause this.

I don't like any of the perfumes I use to use because the scent is to strong . Go for the ones that have a very light scent . I can't tell yo which ones because I haven't bought a perfume in a very long time. But I have smelled samples that were very light scented and I think I could wear those.

I don't have an answer to that because I wear perfumes and they don't bother me. Each person is different.

Thank you for your replies. I've been in a flare up for several months now and it has gotten worse lately. I'm trying to think of anything that could be causing it to continue. The pain has become and worse and seems to be in all of my joints now (hands, feet, hips, back...) It hurts to close my hands.... Does anyone else have joint pain along with trigger point pain? Also my pain management counselor told me today that fibromyalgia was really emotional pain expressing itself as physical pain - caused by stress that is not released . How do you feel about this statement?
