Because overexertion can cause alot of flare ups, what sort of exercise regimen is suggested? Are there certain types of yoga that are better for fibro and chronic pain?
I do beginner yoga, simple stretching, and walking. That's about all my body can handle, on a good day. Just stretching on bad ones.
Yoga, yoga, yoga. I'm a self taught yogi and I cannot express to you enough how important building and stretching your muscles are. I prefer aerial yoga with a swing for support. If you're brave enough, definitely give it a try. I'm also a swimmer, I find swimming and then sitting in a hot tub helps a good bit.
I exercise in a hydrotherapy pool. My physiotherapist gave me the exercises to do with a time limit (40 Mins) and how many of each to do. I also have incorporated doing lengths. I did too many yesterday and was in pain last night and now this morning. I won’t do as many next time. I can’t answer about the Yoga ... not a fan, so I don’t do it.
I wandered into a hot yoga studio two years ago, I now do the easy stretch classes and, when I'm good, flow classes which have some "power" poses in them. Every class is a safe space to choose to do what I can with an experienced teacher, under infrared lights. If I had to name one thing that helps me most, it's almost daily yoga practice. As it includes exercise and meditation, it even beats my daily meditation for meditation what helps me
I do simple stretches everyday so my muscles aren't too tight and cause fall .A little physio exercises to stop waste in muscles and stop stiffness setting in too much .x
