Some days I get absolutely exhausted after eating a meal, I can barely move my limbs and entire body as if I'm using every ounce of energy on digestion.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Yes I have this too. Get your insulin checked. Some medications can cause insulin resistance, I've stopped taking them now, but it only took 5 weeks at half of the lowest prescribable dose to send my insulin through the roof. Your blood sugar may appear to be ok but also pay attention to where in the range your blood sugar is at. If it is at the high end but still within the accepted range, then it is going to be linked to your insulin if your insulin is high. I am taking chromium now with every meal to try and lower my insulin. I used to nearly pass out after any meal, and I DID pass out after dinners, probably because they often contained processed grains (pasta etc) which triggered the release of more insulin, which my cells couldn't absorb.
Me too, call it food coma! I've found eating a lot less gluten during the day has !made a massive difference. And I heard not to drink during a meal...?
Yes. I also get the shakes at times after a meal. I make it a point now of resting for an hour after I eat a meal.
Carbs cause inflammation
You could be eating too many carbs in your day.
