Hi I'm looking for a bit of advice. Please bare with me I've not posted on here before. I suffer from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in my hands and arms and also have Fibro but I'm struggling to differentiate between the two when I'm having a flare up as I don't yet know a lot about fibro. My whole body also feels like I've been battered from head to toe ( I haven't though). Going upstairs is a task in itself as at times I feel like an old woman. I have a bubble of fluid on each ankle as… read more
I have had fibromyalgia since the early 2000's Cymbalta helped greatly with the pain but did notthing for my panic attacks. The nurse at my doctors office suggested I try acupuncture , since she just had a session and felt wonderful , no pain . So I did , and I haven't had any fibro pain since . I'm taking a break now to see how long it lasts till the pain returns if it does . Give it a try . It's great !
Yes the Fibro hits the muscles and makes you feel very stiff and sore, I also have stairs and I try not to go up and down them least as possible. I had surgery in my right foot for a fractured bone spur, so know it swells up if I stand on it too long. I have 2 bone spurs in the other foot also. So even standing too long bothers me. I am 55 but I feel like I'm 90 & house chores seem to be getting harder & harder also.
I have fibromyalgia and that is how I feel everyday. I have stairs and I hate to go up and down them many times a day. I'm a house wife and have been dealing with this for three years and it seems as though I am slowing down more and more as time goes on. I noticed my daily routine is getting harder to do. I noticed that health issues that I have had before are getting worse with this fibromyalgia. Hope this helps but sorry you don't feel well.
Do you need to differentiate? Is that just causing you more stress. It's highly likely symptoms overlap yet have the same treatment options.. I am on valdoxan for depression and gabapentin for pain, I see a therapist and keep stress to a minimum. Strict diet, vitamins and physio.
Thanks ladies !
