Yes, it's called allydonia pain caused by a sensory overload in your brain causing our bodies senses to over react, I am sensitive to sound temp and touch, touch has to be the worse one for me

I had no idea light sensitivity or sensory overload had anything 2 to do with fibromyalgia. I have been accused of being Dracula lately bc I prefer darkness over light. I also deal with depression & anxiety so I have always preferred darkness when im.overwhelmed with depression. But what I noticed is that I now can hardly watch t.v. without using my hand as a visor . It makes my eyes hurt if I don't. I finally looked it up bc it was different from my light sensitiviry b4 I was diagnosed. Most things that are new that I haven't dealt with b4 end up being related. Having both things can become even more difficult, especially bc fibro is a new diagnosis 4 me. Only diagnosed a year ago.

I have always been a light sleeper, but i have noticed that in the last few years, since being diagnosed with fibro, that noise and light bother me when I am trying to sleep. I now wear a sleep mask and ear plugs and sleep like a baby, lol!

I have the same problem with bright headlights especially the new blue lights and other types of newer ones. Bright lights really bother me. I wish there was some way to regulate the types of headlights put on newer cars. I am so glad that I do not have to drive a lot at night.

I had to become vegetarian (and still am) a couple of years ago because the sight smell and taste of meat made me ill. Pasta is fine hoorah, cheese and fish also fine....very sensitive to smells and can suddenly switch right off in the middle of a meal boo 😡 Oats are great. 😀
