When I lived in PA I always saw a rheumatologist for my fibro, since moving to Cape Coral in 2011 I have been treated by my PCP for my fibro. My PCP finally told me she could no longer handle my fibro and suggested I see Pain Management and a neurologist. I was extremely reluctant to do Pain Management but I must say when I finally did it was great. I have been seeing Dr. Daitch in Ft.Myers for nearly 2 years, am I totally pain free no way no how but some days it's more tolerable than others. Neuro did some tests and was rxing meds that didn't work so now I only see PM. I have seen a rheumatologist who stated that I was getting all my needs met through PM so I only saw him once. I was on Lyrica for years but I weaned off of that many years ago. I now have a pain patch and PRN opiates. I continue with muscle relaxers and a sleeping pill at bedtime.I hope this helps.
