Time of the month plus busy week equals fibro flare. Considering my wheelchair for college tomorrow, but I struggle using it. Any advice?
Thinking of doing what I always do - dive right in. Once I start I have no choice but to keep going. Just nervous doing that with a wheelchair!
You know you best. I sometimes find the same result from diving right in, and that can sometimes be more beneficial than harmful ( human contact, exercise). It helps me to have a plan b in case my body isn't up to it or something may not work out.I might have a return route with many options (a friend who can drive, money for a cab or bus, a place to leave the wheelchair) I might warn the professors that I am doing the best to recover my health, so I may be late/ not make it. That takes some pressure off. Hope it goes/ went well.
Well I sort of had that I worked at a large medical school hospital as a business manager I had knee surgery and was 12 weeks in wheelchair or crutches. I'm 49 then and owned a truck and lived alone I was in pretty good shape when it happened and found that I was able to get my wheelchair in and out of my truck, I was caught off h
Guard as I thought I would have crutches 3 days not 3 months Anyway I knew if I got into a bind loading or unloading my chair someone would help me My counselor said to let people help you open close doors I wanted to stay independent but it was nice getting a It of help at work I also had a very strong willed border collie puppy at the time Man did he cause me a lot of grief His favorite game was to run out of the gate when I drove in and run across the highway a few times BRATTTTTT
