Botox For Migrane Headaches
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm scheduled to have about 30 Botox injections for migrane headaches. I'm looking to hear personal experiences. Any information known on this subject is welcome! I don't think I am going to be able to do it due to my aversion to needle injections. Thanks in advance

I had my first round of Botox for migraines on January 3rd. If you have a real good doctor, they should be done in no time at all. My doctor did all the injections throughout my head in about 5 minutes. It was no big deal at all. It really did relax the muscles and nerves in the head and neck. The needles are so small that I didn't feel most of them.
Go in there with the attitude that its no big deal and keep thinking that and you will be fine. That's what I did and it worked.

About 2 weeks ago I decided to get botox for my migraines. I was scared to death cause you read bad stuff. But I decided I had to try I'm tired of all the pain in my neck n head n headaches. Mine has gone good so far.
A few days after I was so from the shots but more from feeling the other muscles that I guess u don't notice much cause everything hurts. My neck was sore to. I have had some headaches but not migraines n the pain in my neck n back of my head is much better.
Just remember everyone is different.
Best of luck I hope it goes well n helps u 💜

My niece gets Botox injections for her migraines and they seem to have worked great for her. Look to the end result and it will give you strength. Good luck look forward to hearing back on how it goes.

My husband does Botox injections for his migraines and after 1 year he no longer has headaches. Before he started the Botox he was in the emergency room several times a month because he could not manage the pain with the medicine the doctor had provided.
