has anyone had any success with treating body chills
Not sure exactly what you are talking about exactly, but I do notice that before my pain hits BIG TIME I get really really cold. I grab a blanket, heating pad and my pain meds as this warns me that my pain is on the rise and I MUST do something to keep it from completely taking over my body. Once the pain hits I find that I am no longer chilled...
Hard to know without knowing more details from you, @A MyFibroTeam Member. However, I did ask my doctor why I had those the one day I had to go without my main pain medication, and he explained that was a symptom of extreme pain. Use this as help only if it fits! My icy body chills finally left after the first pain medication I took the next day finally kicked in.
I notice that when my pain is severe I get body chills. I read that this is a common body reaction to pain.
They come on without warning even on the hottest of summer days . Thankfully I have a warming cupboard and keep a sleeping bag in it.
Hi susan carpenter, every little bit of information helps. was diagnosed with fibro last Sept, and just trying to make sense of all the symptoms, have got my head around most of them, but these cold shivers knock me off my feet, so any information is very helpful as its like putting a jigsaw together, thank you for your reply x
