SYMPTOMS
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when you get a flare do you get all the symptoms at the same time or do you get some of the symptoms today and tomorrow different symptoms? For instance today I will get chest pains and headaches and tomorrow I will have muscle pain and joint pain... Does anyone experience it the same as I do?

Hi, a flare for me is everything, not one part of my body doesn't seem effected. When I have pain in a particular area, let's say, neck, back and head, I don't call that a flare. It is an increase in pain, but not a flare for me. Right now I am having a flare, everything is hurting. I'm taking extra gabapentine, and valium, but neither are helping. Breathing hurts, eyes hurt, teeth hurt, , hair, the list just goes on and on. I'm sitting in a burning hot bath trying to relax my muscles a little so I can just go back to sleep.

Others may categories differently to me, so it is a very good question. Hugs xx

I normally have a constant ache in my back, knees and neck so don't consider those flares but rather a daily symptom. When I have flares, I feel like my hair, teeth, skin are on fire, I am sensitive to touch and even the softest clothing hurts. The muscles, joints and in fact every part of the body goes into spasm and has this ache that not even Cymbalta or other pain killers help with. I guess it is different for every person and the symptoms are bad for each of us in our own hell. I wish you well and hope your flares and aches are kept to a minimum.

Hi! For me it's different every day. but it mostly concentrates in my throat, knees and back. I don't remember a day when I did not feel somewhat crappy. I wonder what others are going through a lot.

Everyone's body will be different in how they handle pain. My symptoms come at different times actually most of my symptoms stay all the time nowadays.
