I mean sometimes I am so hyper sensitive it effects my breathing or I want to vomit. There is no practical smell just a smell you can smell above anything else and it drives you to distraction. It could be a smell you normally acknowledge and it over powers your senses. What are you coping mechanisms especially in winter when you want to open every window but the family complain it too damn cold. Apart from sticking a peg on my nose ....
I have become very sensitive to sounds touch lights n smells. I have to make sure we only use things in the house I can handle n when I'm out now that it's cold I wear a scarf all the time I'll cover my nose if I must. Sometimes I'll have to wait outside at a doctor's office n let them know because of smells cleaning stuff hand soap perfumes. If it really gets me I'll take an allergy pill n use saline spray to try n Clear my sinuses.
Best of luck 💜
I have found some essential oils that I really like and tolerate well, diluted them in a carrier oil, like coconut or olive oil, then I dab it under my nose... That way I smell the one I "like" more than the one I can't. Health food stores carry empty bottles, even finger sized roller bottles. Keep in your purse, etc. Best wishes and gentle hugs to you!
I don't have that.
