I'm wanting to find healthier ways to help with everything. I just get so down I feel like a failure. There has to be a better way.
Magnesium good for muscle relaxation. Just don't do to much as it can cause loose bowels if to much also good for sleep. Theanine is good for calming the brain. Good also at night for sleep. This is what I found. You will have to experiment for yourself.
I'm not a doctor, these are only suggestions... melatonin is a natural substance that works for some, but make sure you tell your doctor and pharmacists you want to try it, this substance may interfere with some prescribed meds. Another natural idea is a "happy light"... must be no less than 10,000 lumins and be the full spectrum of light ( sorry the blue only cheapie lights don't work). Research both and see if either will work for you?
Aromatherapy might help some. Lavender and vanilla. I have the foam bath and shower gel as well as the body oil I put on when I get out before toweling dry. Top it off with the body lotion or cream, and it usually helps to relax me more than a lot of things. I also use a linen spray for my pillows. Anther thing I do is take a valerian tea bag and a peppermint tea bag together and make a pot of tea with a touch of honey. Takes a while to get used to the taste but very relaxing before bedtime. Magnesium comes in many forms such as sprays and epsom salts not just what comes from drinking basic clean water. You can also take supplements.
I too feel like a failure all the time!! My mom and dad have been gone for years and I just picture them up in heaven shaking their heads! It hurts but we have to realize that we still have things to be thankful for and we definitely aren't failures. I also say, do whatever helps you and only you cause we are all different! I know I need a new puppy as I lost my best friend and confidant in July and I miss him terribly. Maybe if you don't have a dog think about getting one. There unconditional love and happiness feels awesome! Good luck!
